I love hearing how your experiences have formed your writing. I was already interested in The is Paradise after Brendon’s review, but I am even more interested after learning about the origin of 39 Rules for Making a Hawaiian Funeral Drinking Game. I also didn’t know about kaona, and I will be certainly learning more about this. It’s great to see a list of Hawai’ian authors– I need more of them in my life!
