I remember playing a game called Password when I was growing up. Codenames is similar to Password but takes the idea and makes it incredibly more interesting! Two teams are pitted against each other, trying to guess their words before the other team. They accomplish this by giving a one word clue followed by a number to tell their team how many words the clue is associated with. This game is accessible and easily taught to anyone. It plays groups exceptionally well. The dreaded 6-8 player count without splitting up the play multiple games. I probably will do a list of best 6-10 player games at some point. Easy to learn, tons of fun even for players who don’t usually enjoy boardgames. Very friendly for larger groups too.

Who doesn’t? I have not played Password, but I can’t imagine not liking it. It sounds exactly like my cup of tea. Codenames sounds even better! My boyfriend and I go to gaming store every few weeks to play board games or card games. I’ll see if they have this one for us to play next time I’m there!
